Gardening Analogies: Life Lessons from the Garden

Gardening Analogies: Life Lessons from the Garden: "The Sweet Pea Massacre"
I kind of knew that I shouldn't have pruned them so harshly. I'd been looking at them closely now for two weeks - wondering why they were rioting over the side of their bathtub container, yet still they had no blossoms on their massive tendrils. I thought that I had planted duds, that I wasn't going to get any flowers, or worse yet, that I would have this tangled mess of sweet pea vines just taking up room in my precious soil. Battleships of World War 2 - The USS North Carolina BB-55

This story was recounted to me word for word by my dad, Jim Campbell. It is an account of his ship being torpedoed during World War 2. He served on the USS North Carolina during the sea battles in the Pacific and Guadalcanal.

Sad Love Poems and Poetry

Sad Love Poems and Poetry:

The Rose of Pain...

A beautiful rose with thorns

it pricks

it stabs

it bleeds.

How could something so

Beautiful

hurt me?

How do pain and beauty

exist together?

Oh Beautiful Rose

be careful not to stab the one you love

Withdraw your painful thorns

Cut them off if you must

Let your fragrance and beauty be stronger

than the bite of your needles.

Oh precious rose, precious mate

Prune me if you must

but be kind

For I am a thorn less rose,

and cannot prick back

but only die in my pain.

Every day it seems more links of animals dying is added to the list - and people are rightfully concerned. They are asking "What is going on here??"
